— Heritage

A building made to outlast us.

Commissioned by the Commonwealth Bank and built in poured concrete, steel and Tasmanian stone, the building has stood on a Hobart corner for the better part of a century — through changing currencies, generations of commerce and the city growing around it. Today, its underground Chubb vault safeguards our customers’ bullion and valuables.

— Why Tasmania

A safe haven at the end of the world.

Tasmania sits quietly off the bottom of Australia, separated by the formidable Bass Strait — an island of cold-water coastlines, old-growth forest and space. Stable jurisdiction. Stable hands. A good address for things you’d like to still be here in fifty years.

"
We built Hobart Mint for people who think in generations — a place where metal is made, held and found again; where your grandchildren could collect a bar in fifty years and still find the door open.
