The Hobart Mint collaborates with Tasmanian and guest artists to create silver and gold art coins and cast bullion in Hobart, Tasmania. We start by sculpting the artworks into a relief model, with the finished sculptures engraved in reverse onto steel minting and embossing dies. Finally we strike the art onto precious metals in the form of minted coins and cast bars for you to collect, enjoy and invest.
