Tasmanian visual artist Amanda Walker and partner Paul spent a wild and enchanting six months caretaking on Maatsuyker Island. 'The weather captivated us with swift changes from light to dark, the grassy tracks winding beneath the canopy of trees opening out to reveal those stunning views, and day by day we witness the islands seasonal changes surrounded by ever-present lively island birds.'

The duo published a book Maatsuyker Through Our Eyes, giving an insight into what it is like to live and work in such an unpredictable place.
